There’s something special about the work that happens when vision meets structure—when the right leadership, systems, and people come together to move an organization forward.
I’ve seen it time and time again in my work as The Outsourced COO, and I’m excited to bring that same approach to a new opportunity: after 18 months serving as Director of Operations, I’ve stepped into the role of Board President for a nonprofit dedicated to hands-on environmental education for local students.
It’s a role that’s both an honor and a responsibility. For years, this organization has been a cornerstone of experiential learning, sustainability, and community engagement, providing thousands of students with meaningful, hands-on education in nature. With strong partnerships, dedicated educators, and engaged volunteers, the impact is undeniable—and I’m thrilled to support its next chapter of growth.
Why This Role & Why Now?
If you know me, you know I thrive in the behind-the-scenes work of leadership—helping organizations build structure, strengthen operations, and move forward with clarity. That’s exactly what I’ll be focusing on in this role.
As organizations evolve, leadership transitions are pivotal moments. They’re not just about filling a seat—they’re about ensuring continuity, protecting momentum, and setting the stage for sustainable success.
That’s what’s happening now. With a major leadership shift, this is a moment to shore up foundational systems, support teams, and clarify priorities so that the organization continues to thrive.
What This Looks Like in Action
The work ahead includes:
✅ Ensuring a Smooth Leadership Transition – Bringing structure to the change, aligning board members, and setting up efficient operational processes.
✅ Focusing on What Moves the Needle – Keeping key initiatives on track without unnecessary complexity, ensuring educational programming, partnerships, and funding efforts stay strong.
✅ Strengthening Systems & Strategy – Reviewing and refining internal processes so that growth happens with clarity, not chaos.
✅ Empowering Teams for Long-Term Success – Supporting the board, volunteers, and leadership team in ways that free up energy for meaningful work—not just management tasks.
The Bigger Picture
The opportunity to serve in this role is a full-circle moment for me—not just as a COO, but as a business leader passionate about helping organizations grow in a way that feels sustainable and clear.
And really, this is what I love most about my work—helping leaders find relief, build clarity, and reclaim the joy in what they do by bringing order to complexity.
This leadership transition is a great case study of the work I do every day: guiding businesses and organizations through operational clarity, leadership development, and smart scaling strategies.
If your business or nonprofit is navigating leadership transitions, growth challenges, or operational overwhelm, let’s talk. There’s always a path forward—and it doesn’t have to feel heavy.
